Sekhukhune United F.C.

NEW SEASON STATEMENT

I would like to start by congratulating our team, especially the players and technical
team in achieving excellent results in the 2020/2021 Glad Africa Championship last
season.
It was a season filled with highs and lows but overall, it was an exciting and inspiring
season. I would like to send out a massive thanks to everyone who was part of this
prosperous team. It is because of your selfless support that we managed to
accomplish our main objectives.
I would also like to thank Board Members for their devotion to ensure that the team is
run smoothly. A special mention to my brother, Mr. Jonas Malatji (CEO) of the team,
words alone are not adequate, however, he took this project head-on and utilize the
utmost of his energy to ensure that the vision is attained in the maiden season. His
encouragement, inspiration, motivation, wisdom, guidance, and transformational
leadership to the team is commendable.
My expectation this season is to maintain the acceleration and momentum of the
preceding (last season) season so that we can thrive in our maiden season in the
topflight division. I hope you share the same sentiments with me for the new season
commencing soon.
The technical team led by the Head coach, Mr. Macdonald Makhubedu, and his
technical team have been working very hard behind the scene to prepare for this
approaching season. We are not focusing on the position that we would like to finish
on, but of much importance is to make a significant and meaningful impact in the
DSTV Premiership. We are not going to add numbers but to be counted amongst the
best in the Premiership.
Once again, the intention of Sekhukhune United F.C. remains the same which is to
change the lives of young footballers and also inspire them to play at the highest
level in the country. Babina Noko will continue to create hope where there is only
despair to young footballers.
As your Chairman, I am fully committed to that goal and confident that we will be
successful in our mission. Working together with all stakeholders, we can do more to
ensure the sustainability of this team in the PSL.
“A special thanks to our wonderful fans. I thank you for your patience and support as
we are near the commencement of the 2021/22 football season. Your unwavering
support is never underestimated but always appreciated. I hope you will remain part
of us every step of the way as we are committed to doing well in the DSTV
Premiership.

“A final word goes to His Majesty King Thulare’s family especially the late Kgoshi
Thulare Thulare III (‘A’ Bauba ‘A’ Hlabirwa). His Majesty was planted early this year.
He would have certainly celebrated this enormous achievement with us. He is part of
our great legacy. For that, we shall be diligent to honor him, as we continue to take
strides forward in a new cycle for this wonderful team.” Robala ka khutjo Bauba ‘A’
Bauba ‘A’ Hlabirwa.

So, as we move forward into the DSTV Premiership, we shall remain focused and
united. We are one big Babina Noko family.
We are looking forward to continuing with this exciting journey and to demonstrate
the spirit of working together so that we can do more because “Mphiri o tee ao lle”

#Adibahlabe

Thank you Babina Noko family.
