CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT – NEW SIGNINGS

Sekhukhune United Football Club is delighted to announce the latest additions to the team.

  1. Thamsanqa Masiya
  2. Lesego Sebetlela
  3. Trésor Tshibwabwa Yamba Yamba
  4. Wonderboy Makhubu
  5. Badra Ali Sangaré

Thamsanqa Masiya was born in Mamelodi in Gauteng on the 17th of September 1996. He started his football career in the Development ranks of Mamelodi Sundowns before joining Mbombela United FC. He was one of the outstanding players for Baroka FC with 25 appearances last season.

He was also part of the South Africa National Under-17 team and Under-20 National Team (Amajita), respectively. He was part of the Amajita that made history in Russia in 2015 during the Commonwealth Cup. Amajita thumped Finland 2-1 in the finals of the Commonwealth Cup.

Sebetlela 23 (centre back). “Mish” was born in Dobsonville, Soweto. He joins the club from MM Platinum well known as La Masia who were promoted to the Motsepe Foundation Championship for the 2022/2023 season (Formerly GladAfrica Championship). He was crowned the player of the tournament during the ABC Motsepe League Play-offs that was recently played in Potchefstroom.

Yamba Yamba (23) is a defender from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He was playing in Zambia’s topflight side Red Arrows.

Makhubu 25 (Centre-Forward). “Morata” was Born in Vosloorus, Gauteng Province.  He joins the team from Baroka FC but was on loan to the University of Pretoria. He spent half of the 2021/22 season with Amatuks. Morata previously played for Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila in Limpopo.

Sangaré 36 (Goalkeeper). He was Born in Bingerville, Ivory Coast. He joins Babina Noko from JDR Stars participating in the Motsepe Foundation Championship League. He started his football career with Académie J-M Guillou. In 2004, he earned his first professional contract with Entente Sportive de Bingerville in Ivory Coast.

Sangaré was part of the Ivorian U-23 team at the 2008 Toulon Tournament in France. He represented Ivory Coast at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. He participated in the 2019 and 2022 African Cups of Nations hosted by Egypt and Cameroon, respectively.

Sekhukhune United Football Club would like to welcome Masiya, Sebetlela,YambaYamba, Makhubu and Sangaré to Babina Noko family.
