Sekhukhune United Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Thabo Senong to the Technical Team. The former Lesotho National Men’s senior team Head Coach will be working with Macdonald Makhubedu as his new Assistant Coach.
The 40-year-old is no stranger to the local scene having already served as a Head Coach of the South African U20 National team.
With more than 17 years of coaching experience, his achievements as a U20 Head Coach include winning back-to-back 2017 & 2018 Cosafa Cup and Qualifying to the 2017 & 2019 FIFA Under 20 World Cup. Mr. Senong played a major role serving as an Assistant Coach for South Africa U17, U23, and SA Senior Team (Bafana Bafana).
A student of the game, Mr. Senong is a proud holder of SAFA level 3, Caf A, and FIFA coaching instructor certificates, and many more. He further perfected his skills through guidance and leadership from the likes of Augusto Palacios, Rudolph Krol, Patrick Viera, Pitso Mosimane, Shakes Mashaba, Stuart Baxter, etc.
