Sekhukhune United FC had to settle for a point in their Saturday GladAfrica Championship fixture after being held to a 0-0 draw by University of Pretoria at Absa Tuks Stadium on Saturday.
In what was Babina Noko’s second league assignment in over two weeks, they met a side sitting on the 13th place in the standings, three places above Bizana Pondo Chiefs who are sitting on the bottom of the table
Log position did not seem to be reflected on the field of play early on, with both teams making most of the playing.
Babina Noko were giving it all in the first half keeping the pressure to the visitors and it was a great start for both teams as their attacking looking to create scoring chances
Babina Noko could have made it 1-0 halfway through the first half after a corner kick, delivered by Madonsela who could not find a blue shirt inside the box, despite the best efforts of Maart to turn the ball into the net. In the end, Amatuks survived the goalmouth scramble as they cleared away the danger.
Amatuks were dominating in the second half and enjoying the ball position searching for that first goal, however Babina Noko started the second half as they began the first, dominating possession in the first five minutes.

Babina Noko came into their clash with a struggling University of Pretoria as the favourites at the ABSA Turks Stadium on Saturday.
However, MacDonald Makhubedu’s side was frustrated by a stubborn AmaTuks side in an encounter that ended in a draw.
The second occasion in 2021, where AmaTuks and Babina Noko played to a draw, which has put Makhubedu’s team back on top of the table as they had to settle for a point but they are level on points with second-placed Richards Bay, who have a game in hand.
