Babina Noko ready to bounce back at home

Sekhukhune United Football Club will be back at home for the DSTV Premiership action this Saturday afternoon, 08 April 2023 as they welcome Maritzburg United FC at The New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. The Kick-off for this encounter will be at 17h30.

A different test will await Brandon Truter’s men, who returned from Kwamashu with a point on their last DStv Premiership fixture against Golden Arrows after playing to a 0-0 draw.

It will be the fifth competitive encounter between Babina Noko and the Team of Choice. The home team last played against the Team of Choice on 06 August 2023 at Harry Gwala Stadium in the league opener for the 2022/23 season, where they played to a 1-1 all draw with goals coming from Tshegofatso Mabasa for Sekhukhune United and Bongani Sam respectively.

Babina Noko has amassed 19 points from 11 previous home matches thus far and is currently in 9th position on the log standings with 29 points from 24 matches while The Team of Choice is in 15th position with 24 points accumulated from the same number of matches,  5 points have separats the two teams in the DStv Premiership league Log standings.

SKUFC Head Coach Brandon Truter said that they will welcome  Maritzburg United at home and will be looking for maximum points from them, right now the squad is looking good everyone is available and they need to be mindful about their strategy, spirit and confidence of the away team .

He further alluded that at the moment, the boys are ready and have been working hard to get back to winning ways.
