Golden Arrows and Sekhukhune United played out a goalless stalemate in their DStv Premiership clash at the Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu, Durban, on Saturday afternoon.
Babina Noko looked to be the more threatening team in the early stages of the first half, with Nkanyiso Madonsela getting an opportunity to score when he runs into the box but his cross finds no one, and the host managed to clear it away from danger.
Both teams were creating chances to score but they were unlucky, 9th minutes into the first half Brandon Seth Parusnath delivered a corner kick inside Abafana Besthende’s box, which finds Rodrick Kabwe but his header was just over the target.
Two chances fell on Abafana Bes’thende but Babina Noko defender Sello Motsepe and goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata were doing a wonderful job at the back.
Themba Mantshiyane’s shot went over the crossbar, leaving the score at 0-0 heading into the break.
The start of the second half saw Babina Noko reinforce their midfield with the introduction of veteran Willard Katsande, who immediately brought a ruggedness to the midfield battle.
The hosts threatened again midway through the second half with Ndunduzo Sibiya ‘s shot from the edge of the box which was held comfortable by Nsabata.
