Musonda Brace guides the Dube Birds to Victory

Swallows FC managed to come from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Sekhukhune United in the 2022/23 DStv Premiership match at Dobsonville Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The home team dominated both possession and territory for most of the encounter.

Babina Noko carved out the first chance inside the opening 10 minutes for Tshegofatso Mabasa, who failed to find the target in the box.

In the 27th minute of the first half, Babina Noko hit the hosts with a goal after Victor Letsoalo opened his account for the club with a close-range finish.

Babina Noko continued to move the ball across the ground quickly searching for their second goal away from home, but the home team’s defense remained alert.

Maswaiswai were back on level terms 10 minutes later when an error from defender Daniel Cardoso gifted the ball to Mwape Musonda, who rifled the ball home for his first goal of the season.

With 11 minutes to go before the final whistle, Swallows FC extended their lead to 2-1 when Musonda completed his brace with a close-range strike into the top right corner with Ntokozo Mtsweni soundly beaten.

The Dube Birds managed to secure their second win and jumped up to the seventh spot, while Babina Noko is in 11th position with 5 points.
