National team Call-Ups for Babina Noko Players

Sekhukhune United Football Club will be well represented in various international teams this month during the international week.

Four of Babina Nokos’ players received call-ups for the upcoming CAF 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers to join their national teams.

Nyiko Sydney Mobbie, Yusuf Maart, Toaster “Umshini we Sinkwa” Nsabata, and Rodrick Kabwe received national team call-ups for South Africa and Zambia respectively.

Mobbie and Maart have been called up by Bafana Bafana coach, Hugo Broos for the upcoming CAF  2023 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers to take on Morocco.

Bafana Bafana will face Morocco on Thursday 9 June 2023 at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in the North African country’s coastal city of Rabat.

South Africa is in Group K, which includes Liberia. The fourth team, Zimbabwe, is suspended from international tournaments and won’t participate in the qualifiers.

While Nsabata and Kabwe have been called up by Zambia national team head coach Aljosa Asanovic in a 25-member squad for the back-to-back 2023 Group H Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Chipolopo will play Ivory Coast on Friday 3rd June 2021 before hosting Comoros Islands following Tuesday in Lusaka at National Heroes Stadium respectively.

Chipolopolo is in Group H alongside Ivory Coast, Comoros, and Lesotho.

Sekhukhune United FC head coach Macdonald Makhubedu revealed that: “as Sekhukhune United Technical team, we are excited about the call ups. It shows that there’s something good that we are doing, and we are growing as a club. The competition that they are having with their teammates shows that they are pushing each other very well. This shows that we have quality in our team. Lastly, I would like to wish them and their national teams the best of luck”.
