Preview – Marumo Gallants FC vs Sekhukhune United FC

Sekhukhune United Football Club will be on the road for the last league game of this season against Marumo Gallants FC at New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday afternoon at 15:00.

Babina Noko comes into this DStv Premiership encounter looking for maximum points and to improve on the result from their previous home league match, which saw them register a 1-0 defeat against Kaizer Chiefs over the weekend at Emirates Airline Park, Johannesburg.

The last time Babina Noko played away from home was on the 7th of May 2022 against Amazulu at Moses Mabhida Stadium where the match ended in a stalemate.

It will be the second competitive encounter between Babina Noko and Bahlabane Ba Ntwa. Babina Noko last played against Bahlabane Ba Ntwa on the 08th of December 2021 at Emirates Airline Park Stadium in Johannesburg where the visitors attained a victory of 1-0 courtesy of a second-half strike from Joseph Malongoane.

Bahlabane Ba Ntwa will be looking to end an eight (8) matches winless run in the DSTV Premiership League.  In the previous game, Marumo Gallants played out to a goalless draw at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday against TS Galaxy.

SKUFC has accumulated sixteen (16) points from fourteen (14) away matches so far this season. They have picked up a total of only two points in the previous six league matches, which put them in 11th position in the DStv Premiership Log standings with 32 points from the 29 matches while Bahlabane Ba Ntwa is in the 10th position with 33 points from the same number of games. A point has separated these teams in the DStv Premiership league Log standings.

Babina Noko midfielder Yusuf Maart indicated that the last game did not go well according to their tactical plan. However, on this last weekend of the DStv Premiership league game, they will fight hard to collect maximum points against Marumo Gallants. He thanks supporters for loving, caring, and supporting the team throughout this season. He assured supporters that Babina Noko will try their utmost best to turn the table around. He concluded by conveying a message to the fans that Sekhukhune United will come back stronger in the next DStv Premier League season.
