Sekhukhune United FC played to a 2-2 draw with fellow promotion hopefuls Richards Bay FC (The Natal Rich Boyz) in one of three games on Sunday. The hosts opened the scoring before two quick-fire goals from Babina Noko put them in control, but Thabani Dube found the back of the net with six minutes of normal time remaining to earn the home team a valuable point.
Richards Bay FC who had the home ground advantage in the match, started the game on a good note as they managed to claim the lead in the match when AmaZulu on loan player Somila Ntsundwana scored the opening goal of the match.
The Natal Rich Boyz lost the lead when they conceded two consecutive goals to Sello Motsepe and Mfanafuthi (Prince) Nxumalo to take a momentary lead. It was Sello’s first goal for Babina Noko while the man of the match Nxumalo scored his sixth of the season.
Richards Bay FC got back in the match when Thabani Dube scored his goal in the match 85th minute to level the score on 2 – 2.
The match eventually ended in a draw as each team walked away with a point from the match.
