Sekhukhune United Football Club vaccination drive

Sekhukhune United Football Club embarked on a vaccination drive today at
Emirates Airline Park Stadium, After President Cyril Ramaphosa’s call on Thursday
evening. The #VoomaVaccination Weekends aim was to mobilise people living in
South Africa to get vaccinated as a means of fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

The aim of the drive is to encourage all South Africans to get vaccinated. Players,
Technical Team, and staff members participated in the drive to ensure the safety of
all our members and those associated with the club.

As the country has been moved to adjusted level 1, We still need to follow the Covid 19 protocols which include sanitizing, Screening, and wearing of masks.

As a club, we also wish to emphasise the call that has been made by the Chairman of the South
African Premier Soccer League Dr. Irvin Khoza for the nation to vaccinate.

As a team, we heed the call and would like to encourage all football fans to do the
same. We would like to emulate other leagues and have our fans back with us.

Sekhukhune United FC Football Manager Mr. Phineas Madisha was among the
others who took the jab.

“For me is to influence our players and the Technical team to get vaccinated. The
most important word of the day to take away with us let’s vaccinate and make sure
that we all return to play. I urge everyone to go out and get vaccinated so that we
can get the fans back at the stadiums said Madisha.’’
