Babina Noko kickstarts Nedbank Cup last 32 at home to Liver Brothers

Sekhukhune United Football Club will return to action this Wednesday with the Nedbank Cup last 32 assignment against the SAB League team from Mpumalanga, Liver Brothers at The New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

Kick-off for this encounter will be at 19h30.

The last fixture for Babina Noko was away to Marumo Gallants in the DSTV Premiership on Saturday, 4 February 2023 at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg, where Babina Noko succumbed to a 1 – 0 defeat.

It will be the third appearance of Babina Noko in the Nedbank Cup competition and will be hoping for a positive outcome this time around, failing to proceed beyond the last 32 in the 2 previous editions of the Nedbank Cup. The home side will be wary not to fall victim to the side plying their trade in the 4th tier of South African football.

Babina Noko Head Coach, Brandon Truter revealed: “they want to do well in this competition, because it will provide them with an opportunity to get back to winnings ways through this competition, and they are not taking their opponent lightly because Cup competitions are always tricky”.

The question remains: will Babina Noko be able to advance to the next round of the Nedbank Cup for the first time?
