Sekhukhune United Football Club will be welcoming Lamontville Golden Arrows for their DSTV premiership encounter this Wednesday night at New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. The Kick-off for this encounter will be at 19h30.
It will be Babina Noko’s second league fixture since the commencement of the 2022/23 DSTV Premiers League season.
Babina Noko comes into this DStv Premiership encounter looking for maximum points and to improve on the result from their last away match which saw them register a 1-all draw with Maritzburg United this past weekend at Harry Gwala Stadium, while Abafana besthende were beaten 2-0 by their KwaZulu-Natal rivals the Newly promoted Richards Bay FC on Saturday afternoon.
With one (1) DSTV league game under their belt, Babina Noko has managed to collect a single point which put them in the 7th position in the DStv Premiership Log standings. With a valuable three points on offer, both sides are expected to come out firing.
At this stage of the DSTV Premier League, both teams are still within touching distance of important milestones, as both teams didn’t start well in their opening games.
It will be the third competitive fixture between Babina Noko and Abafana Besthende. Babina Noko last played against Golden Arrows last season and both games ended 1-1 draw with goals from Yusuf Maart (penalty) for Sekhukhune United and Michael Gumede for Golden Arrows, respectively (first leg), second leg they played out a goalless stalemate.
