Sekhukhune United Football Club embarked on a journey to the Vhembe region where they were promoting their DSTV Premiership home game against Orlando Pirates FC which was played on Tuesday at The New Peter Mokaba Stadium.
The Marketing team, including the clubs’ ambassador Willard Katsande, visited Rams Football Academy School based in Tshisaulu, situated outside Thohoyandou in the Vhembe District on Monday to meet up with Arehone Makhari (11) from Ha Makuya, Limpopo.
The aspirant young coach intends to acquire coaching qualifications and is inspired to coach one of the PSL teams, including Sekhukhune United.
The Club handed over Babina Noko regalia to Arehone at his school and officially invited him to come and watch Tuesday’s encounter against Orlando Pirates.
Arehone got an opportunity of a lifetime where he had an opportunity to share the dressing room with the players and technical team. He further had a chance to address the fans after the conclusion of the game.
Makhari described the moment as life-changing, which he will cherish for the rest of his life.
“I have never seen things like this in my life. This is the first time. I want to say to the people of Sekhukhune thank you and I will always love Sekhukhune because you changed my life. I have never seen this in my life.
“I feel happy because people of Sekhukhune came here and they said I must come to the game and gain my experience and they also gave me a new kit,” said Makhari.
A special mention to Kappa, Drip footwear, and aQuelle for partnering with us.
We hope the platform we gave to Makhari will inspire him to realize his dream.
