Will Babina Noko stop The Chilli Boys winning momentum?

The next stop for Sekhukhune United Football Club is at Chatsworth Stadium in Durban, where Chippa United Football Club lie in wait for their midweek DSTV Premiership encounter. Kick-off is at 5 pm.

Babina Noko will be traveling to KwaZulu Natal for the third time since the commencement of the 2022/23 DSTV Premiership League season. Babina Noko will hope for a positive outcome this time around, having lost and drawn with Richards Bay & Maritzburg United respectively.

Sekhukhune United will look to bounce back after being stunned by Supersport United FC in their Previous DSTV Premier League away game at Lucas Moripe Stadium last Friday where they crashed to a 3 – 1 defeat.

Chippa United will be looking to keep momentum when they host Sekhukhune United. The Chilli Boys claimed a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Kaizer Chiefs at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday to make it three league wins on the spin for the first time in six years.

It will be Babina Noko’s 11th league fixture since the 2022/23 season and have accumulated 2 points from 5 away games so far this season.

Four points separate The Chilli Boys and Babina Noko in the DSTV Premier League Log standings, with The Chilli Boys currently high up in seventh place on the DStv Premiership league Log standings with 14 points from 10 matches, while Babina Noko is in 13th position with 10 points from the same number of games 6 spots below The Chilli Boys.

It will be the third meeting between these sides. The two teams met last season where The Chilli Boys walked away with a victory in Tembisa courtesy of Veluyeke Zulu’s left-footed shot which was from the corner kick, and a goalless draw in the second-round match.
